Thanks Tim. I agree. I think no matter if we are in what is called a support role or front lines we need to be about planting the gospel and making disciples.

Great illustrations Courtney. I never tried the rock, paper, scissors. Our kids were so good at it we just bribed them. smile

It is amazing how out of our own experiences our eyes are opened to a whole new world. thanks for sharing.

For the first 6 months of living overseas, my wife and I did “Rock, Paper, Scissors” to see who would have to go and do just about anything that required interacting with local nationals. Now, I’m always on the look out for immigrants who need a little bit of help figuring out that the “shampoo” they’re holding is actually drain cleaner, that you have pick up a number from that obscure place on the wall before standing in line as the line means nothing but the number is everything and other “common” mistakes. This should be done no matter where you are.

I would add to #10 the sending church is born out of a time prayer (Acts 13) and a leading of the Holy Spirit to send.
